GREAT ENDORSEMENT OF REV EMMANUEL OLORUNMAGBA FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES BY KABBA CITY COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

It was another giant stride today during the meeting of Kabba City Council of Ministers held in Our Saviour Anglican Church, Kabba as the council of Ministers unanimously endorsed Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba as the candidate to vote for House of Representatives, Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State.

After listening to Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba, and the positive responses from the highly elated Ministers, the Chairman of the council, Ven. S. O. Folorunsho (Rtd) said “before today, we only had Peter Obi to vote as president, we didn’t have candidate to vote for House of Representatives, but you, Rev Emmanuel Sunday Olorunmagba, have been adopted as our candidate for House of Representatives!” The entire pastors happily applauded the assertion.

The pastors present demanded for more copies of ballot specimen indicating how to vote for Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba of National Rescue Movement (NRM) for Representatives and how to vote for Peter Obi of Labour Party for President. And they promised to take the message to their respective churches, that we need the real righteous in the parliament. Hence, in addition to prayers they said they will add work by mobilizing their circle of influence to vote for Rev Emmanuel and Peter Obi. Adding that it was in those days some people were deceived that politics is of the devil and as some Christians decided to leave politics for the devil, the devil decided to fix his children in positions of power and destroyed the entire system as well as working against the Church.

Pastor Dave Dan who has known Rev Emmanuel for over 30 years testified that the council of Ministers have made the right choice by endorsing Rev. Emmanuel.

Appreciating the Ministers Rev Emmanuel promised quality representatives that everyone who supported him will ever be proud of. And that it’s the time for the rescue mission.

Re: A Man Spends 38 Months Without Salary In Bauchi : Another wild, illegitimate claim

By Sani M. Lawal

I just stumbled on an article purportedly written by a certain Comrade Mashema claiming to speak for one Haruna Ibrahim who the writer said is a Bauchi state civil servant in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry with registration number PSN821312.

The writer said he was pleading on behalf of the said civil servant for the Governor of Bauchi state and relevant organs of government to intervene and facilitate the payment of his salaries withheld for 38 months. After reading the article, several questions jumped into my mind that called for care and caution and above all suspicions of the motive behind the article and of course the writer. Firstly, the writer, essentially obscure, could not have been pleading in good faith as he claimed by choosing the media option and not through direct contact with the officials concerned.

Secondly, the writer, evidently unschooled, went to town without the necessary background check that could have given him a solid ground to lay his claim upon; instead, of achieving the objective he claimed, he ended up dancing stark naked in the market square and exposing himself as one of those hatchet men at hand to do mischief for a fee. In order to avoid the kind of embarrassment Comrade Mashema subjected himself to with his slanted story, I undertook a fact check before venturing this response as a concerned indigene of Bauchi state.First, it does not require any deep search to recall that the Bauchi state government of Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed did indeed set up a committee under Adamu Gumba verification to verify staff strength for consolidation with the state salaries bill in order to sanitize the civil service. Every genuinely concerned indigene of Bauchi is as well aware that the Gumba Committee had concluded its assignment and submitted a report with far reaching recommendations. It was therefore the verification committee that discovered the said Haruna Ibrahim as a non-verifiable staff and suggested appropriate measures including the suspension of payment of his salaries. In that report, the said Haruna Ibrahim was uncleared as he was discovered to be redundant without defined schedule or even a duty post.

The committee also found fault with Haruna’s claim to be attending school which he failed to back up with evidence of official release issued to him at anytime. All these facts, Mashema overlooked in his writeup in an obvious haste to deliver his dubious assignment. It is important to place on record here, that Bauchi State had in a bid to boost the state’s workforce employed over 4,000 new staff, has been paying minimum wage, and has implemented consequential adjustments and implemented financial benfits of all employees that have been promoted since previous administrations. One wonders therefore, how much is Haruna salary’s could be, that the State cannot pay if not for reasons of his been found to be an illigimate staff.

It also beats one’s imagination that Haruna Ibrahim could only find his voice now after 38 months and even that through a proxy who turned out to be unprofessional. If only Haruna Ibrahim and Gulumba, his self-appointed voice were not up to some mischief, they ought to have taken the matter up with the ministry they claimed or the Office of the Head of Civil Service. Finally, alternatively, Haruna ought to have shown decent remorse by humbly apologizing for the detected misdemeanor and seek reinstatement by the State and the Governor rather than going the wrong way of unwarranted blackmail in the media.

Apprehension in Benue community over strange military operations

Fear has enveloped residents of the Onyagede community in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State following a strange helicopter that has allegedly dropped men in military uniform in the village.

They explained that the strange helicopter had been landing at a primary school in the community with men in military uniform alighting from it. As they now called on security operatives to investigate the development to avert any possible attack.

The District Head of the Oyangede community, Chief Adamu Ogli who spoke to newsmen on the phone said that the community had in the past five days playing host to a strange helicopter landing at Onyagede primary school ground and dropped men in military uniform.

He said, “For the past five days, there is this helicopter that used to come and it will land at Amoke village, in Onyagede community of Ohimini LGA, Smoke Primary School to be precise, and the people around there are apprehensive and we don’t know their mission there.

“People who saw them said they will come and drop off people who are dressed in military uniform. That is the report am getting and we want security agencies to act on it urgently to prevent any unforeseen circumstance that may arise and further escalated the security problem in our area.

“We are suspicious of their moves because they have not approached anyone concerning their mission but the helicopter will come around 10 to 11 am and drop them off and go back and the following day, it will come around the same time, drop them off and go. We don’t know what is happening or what they are looking for and  that is why we are raising this alarm

The district head said that they had reported the strange development to the police and appealed to the authority to swing into action and investigate the matter.

Also, former and Kindred head of Amoke, Musa Alechenu told newsmen on Saturday that the helicopter landed three times on Friday and added that a retired soldier in the community who saw them said that the people were not soldiers.

Alechenu said, “I was told they were on slippers and there is no ranking or name tag on their uniform, I also heard that they came to our market to withdraw money. Our people suspected that they are mapping out a place for an attack because of what happened in Doma LGA in  Nasarawa state. We are raising this alarm so the security agencies will know and move in to avert any imminent danger.

Also, the Kindred head of Amoke, Chief Emmanuel Adah said that on Saturday a helicopter hovered around Amoke but didn’t land.

“Our people who were on the farm took to their heels on seeing the helicopter. These are not good times because of the insecurity we are experiencing. Our people are apprehensive that they might be attacked.

“We want the government to confirm who is responsible for the helicopter that is hovering over us and the reason to be sure that we are safe,” Adah appealed.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relation Officer in the State,  Catherine Anene, said the command was  yet to receive any intelligence report from the local government, saying,  “The Division has not sent any intelligence on any danger in the area.”

When contacted,  the Public Relation Officer of Operation Whirl Stroke, Flight Lt. Audu Katty said, “We have not heard of anything like that”.Sour

Northern APC Group Attacks Yoruba Leader Over Tinubu Presidential Ambition

….says North will not failed in keeping their promise by voting APC massively

A convener and a leader of a pro All Progressives Congress (APC) group known as Arewa New Agenda (ANA), Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi in a Press conference said Northern people are covenant keepers.

Ahmad in an efforts to replied Chief Ayo Adebanjo (aka Pa Ayo ) a factional leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural group who in Abeokuta said that the northern extraction will not vote for the Presidential candidate of the APC, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2023 Presidential election.

He said Pa Ayo does not speak for the north, dispelled his position by saying that North will massively vote for Tinubu in the coming presidential polls slated February 25th by INEC.

“We wish to state that our organization respects elderly persons but, in this case, we disagree with the position taken by Pa Ayo more so as he does not speak for the north and has no such mandate; for his information the north has never failed to keep to its promise; when the north makes a covenant, the north keeps to it.

“The North is the strongest ally of APC in the contest for the 2023 primaries in the same manner that the South West was ally for the victory of the APC in the last two election cycles.

“Northern Governor of APC extraction led the charge for power shift from the north to the south; something the likes of Pa Ayo were unable to do simply because to make a covenant Pa Ayo, is not a northerner, and we cannot remember when we northerners appointed him to convey a message to any one; therefore, his assertion as widely reported is not only false but unfounded and can be better seen as the action of a meddlesome interloper or on a lighter scale the antics of a busy body.” Ahmad said

According to him the group are totally dismayed, shocked, surprised and disbelieve a statement credited to elder in Abeokuta on Saturday Jan 4th 2023, making the rounds in social and conventional media circles in which he (Pa Ayo) was quoted to have said that, it’s a typical of him.

Ahmad while reading a text to journalists in Abuja said ANA is a forum of concerned northerners comprising of academics, serving and former legislators, diplomats, technocrats, development practitioners, women and youth leaders, politicians, artisans, traders and farmers that is positioned to set an agenda for protection of the interest of the North.

By this Ahmad told Ayo that Northerners are leaders of thoughts that their yes is yes and the integrity of ANA as respected individuals cannot be bought over.

He went down memory lane and reminded Ayo and Nigerians that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo became the flag bearer of the PDP and won the 1999 and 2003 presidential elections mainly because of the backing he received from the North.

“In the APC Presidential primaries of 2022, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu scored 1,271votes more than half of the total votes cast in the convention to win the primaries, majority of these votes come from the north; the same north that Pa Ayo said will not support Tinubu

“Given what is unfolding in the South West today Pa Ayo’s attempt to justify his position by saying that his submission is based on fairness justice and equity is indeed laughable because it was said that whoever is coming to equity must come with clean hands. Records have shown that every presidential candidate that Pa Ayo opposes ended up winning the election- Asiwajus’s case will not be different
Just because Pa Ayo has some differences with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not in any way mean that the Yoruba race think the same, as we have our doubts that he has the mandate to speak for the Yorubas.

“We warn that this is the time for high wire political activities that usually culminate into tension and suspicion; we call for restrain in all utterances. From our research Pa Ayo’s statement was not driven by any nationalist instinct or principle; it is just a personal vendetta against the personality of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We advise Pa Ayo to stop taking advantage of African culture of respect for the old to pursue a very myopic, narrow minded and selfish political vendetta, this a pure act of mischief and malice.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited many States in the North, made policy statements and made a committal promises to us, if GOD Almighty gives him the opportunity to serve as our next
president, we the northerners will hold him accountable to that.

“Based on the past excellent record of performance and antecedents of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his various callings, the north is comfortable with him. He supported northern presidential candidates in the past; the north has reciprocated this gesture on every occasion; the present situation is no different as the north will repeat the performance by overwhelming support to the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.”

Elder Luke also known as Up Jesus had introduced him (Rev Emmanuel) and his team and that this political period is no longer just about political parties, but now about individuals, that have what to offer when they take over power and not just who has the huge cash to offer before the election.

The well known Igbo elder added that having heard from Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba and “having known Emma since he was a boy growing up in Kabba, there is no doubt that in terms of proper representation, he (Emmanuel) stands as the best among the rest.

Thus he said, “on behalf of my people we welcome you (Rev. Emmanuel) and we have accepted you as our candidate to support for House of Representatives as you can hear our people affirmed, while we continue support Peter Obi as president. We are men of integrity and we are known for standing by our word. And since you are already in alliance with Labour Party in support of Peter Obi, you have made the job easier for us.”

He concluded that they are various leaders representing different groups of Igbo people and they have also agreed to convey the same message to others, telling them that “Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba is not only capable, but he is also in alliance with Obi and he is even one of us as he is our son, being married to our daughter, we don’t take him as inlaw any longer, but as our own very son. Hence, while voting for Peter Obi for president, let’s also massively vote for Emmanuel Sunday Olorunmagba for House of Representatives in Kabba-Bunu LGA and Ijumu LGA.

OMO AGEGE’S TRUE IDENTITY EXPOSED:

As the race for Delta State Government house is on some hidden facts are been exposed, one of such is the true identity of Senator Ovie Omo Agege.

In the spirit of fairness, justice and equity, it should be the turn of Urobo of Delta Central to produce the next governor of Delta State. And among the frontline contenders is Senator Ovie Omo Agege who claimed to have come from Delta Central.

But fact check by an investigate journalist has exposed that he is not a true Urobo man of Delta Central.

It has been confirmed that he Omo Agege’s mother is Itsekiri from Koko in Warri North. She hails from Nana Olomu linage, she is a sister to Mrs Ayomike the wife of Pa. Ayomike (former Itsekiri leaders of thought chairman).
He (Ovie Omo Agege) lost his mum at a very young age and she was buried in Koko.

Having just served as a Senator and not being an Urobo man whose turn it’s to govern the affairs of Delta State, why then did he Ovie Omo Agege decided to contest as for the position of Delta State governor at this time?

Does it mean that the brotherly spirit of fairness justice and equity is no longer attainable in the political system in Delta State?

Or is a section of Delta State the “born-to-rule” while another zone remains perpetual servant?

The pertinent questions are for the electorates in Delta State to answer through their ballot on the day of the gubernatorial election.

PRINCE ADEWOLE ADEBAYO AT PRESIDENTIAL TOWNHALL MEETING ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS

The presidential candidate of the social democratic party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has said that if elected, his party will lead Nigeria well and by extension, West Africa.
Prince Adebayo said this when responding to questions on the tension in the Sahel region and his plan towards environmental development, during the Presidential Town Hall Meeting on Climate Change and Environmental Concerns which held in Abuja.
The town hall meeting which held on Tuesday February 7, had the theme: 2023 General Elections and the Quest for a Greener Nigeria.
Speaking on environmental problems Nigeria is facing, he stated that the problems are caused by failure of the government, adding that the country has enough resources to handle its environment issues.
“Many of the problems you see here, they’re not even environmental problems per say; they are problems of failure of government”, he said.
“First, if you look at the amount of money we need to reflood Lake Chad, it is not up to 10 percent of what EFCC have been announcing all the time that has been stolen from the government. So Nigeria is not a country that we need to call on the world to come and save it and its environment because we have enough resources within the country to do so”.
The SDP presidential candidate further noted that Nigeria is a global power in Africa, hence if there is an efficient government in place, the environmental problems across West Africa can be dealt with. He went further to list the various ways his government would control the challenges facing the Sahel if elected.
He said. “We are the global power around here, by nature of God’s gift. Therefore, if you have an efficient government in Nigeria and through the mechanism of ECOWAS and other bilateral relationships, here is what we will do.
“First, we will mandate by regulation; so when you deal with poverty, across West Africa, the impact on the environment will be minimal. Second, we have a defense policy – the symbol of it is the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group (ECOMOG), whereby around West Africa you won’t have militants, jihadists, bandits coming there because we have the ability to take care of that if our defense policy is implemented under the proper commander in chief”.
Prince Adewole further noted that there is need for government to have stability in its dealings across board in order not to have communities clashing.
“So I believe that under our government we will lead Nigeria well and once we lead Nigeria well, we will lead West Africa well and anything the international community wants to contribute will be looked at as their own contribution; but in-house house we are fine”.
The SDP presidential candidate further urged Nigerians to pay attention to issues the nation is facing and listen to his ideas and those of the other candidates of the party to know that SDP is an organic party filled with ideas and ready to work for Nigeria.
Other presidential candidates present at the townhall were – Kachikwu Dumebi – ADC, Omoyele Sowore – AAC, Senator Alkali representing Kwankwaso of NNPP.
The Adewole Adebayo Presidential Campaign entourage comprised of: VP Yusuf Salisu Buhari, Sen. Ugochukwu Uba, Pst Ade Alabi and Chief Godwin Osigbeme .
