“For the record, I will like to state clearly that the nomination of this project was made by my humble self when I was your elected member of the House of Representatives in the eighth (8th) National Assembly 2015-2019.

” It is equally important to note that the project was financed and executed by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); “to provide a platform for teaching, learning, research, and development. The objective is to encourage the use of ICT in academic development and facilitate easier access to intellectual resources available globally.”

“In light of the importance of ICT, I urge the students, management of the school, and Parent Teachers Association (PTA) to take good care of all the devices/installations and structures provided by the NCC as the school property and ensure that it is properly put into use.

“May I on behalf of students, school management, and my constituents
thank Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for providing
these valuable assets for our community’s educational advancement?
Finally, I consider it a privilege to commission the ICT Laboratory for
the benefit of students of this school, staff, and humanity as a whole.” Garba said

Honorable Lawan who is currently the flag bearer of the New Nigeria people’s party (NNPP) hoping to represent the Girei, Yola North and Yola South said his mission and vision if elected for the second time will be people-oriented projects, laws, motions, and bills he will implement.

We Will Deliver Kogi to APC, Says Bello

—- As Deputy National Publicity Secretary Donates 46 Vehicles to the Party

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has pledged to deliver the State to the Al Progressive Congress APC in the forthcoming General Elections in the country.

Bello made this promise while speaking at the inauguration of 46 campaign vehicles distributed to the campaign coordinators, Local government chairmen of APC and other critical stakeholders for Bola Ahmed Tinubu /Shetima for President at the Government house in Lokoja on Wednesday.

The Vehicles were donated by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, National Headquarters Abuja, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka to facilitate free movement for the stakeholders to campaign vigorously for All Progress Congress APC Presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and the Vice Presidential candidate Kashim Shetima in all nooks and crannies of Kogi

The governor noted the their many legacies of the present administration littered across the State, noting that APC has done very well and the citizens will not want to go back to Egypt and rather work for the party.

The governor noted that over 3,000 foot soldiers who monitor the election in the 21 local government area of Kogi State, stressing that at least 10 from the wards

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Murtala Yakubu Ajaka explained that the rational behind the donation the borne by the fact that the campaign council must penetrate the grassroots for the Presidential election.

He pointed out that a total of 46 vehicles were donated to the 21 local government areas of Kogi State to enable the to kickstart campaigns.

He pledged that more vehicles would be donated to women and Youths respectively, stating that this a project in which every one must participate and campaign for APC in all elections in 2023.

Why We Have Chosen to endorse the Obi/Datti Ticket-ex-SGF, Babachir reveals

….states 6 main reasons Tinubu Muslim Muslim ticket in not good for Nigeria

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and a critical stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr Babachir David Lawal has revealed their next line of action on who to support in the 2023 coming Presidential election.

David as one of the foremost critics of APC’s single-faith presidential ticket, and also in difference to those who have patiently waited for their guidance as to where to pitch their tent, according to him after a painstaking review and analysis of the alternative presidential tickets, they now wish to recommend the Obi/Datti presidential ticket.

The Adamawa born politician gave the long anticipated action by many Nigerians in a press statement he signed and made available to news men briefly narrated some few reasons among many why they have endorsed the Obi/Datti’s ticket and commend it to all Nigerians of good conscience who desire justice, equity and a harmonious co-existence of all Nigerians across tribes, religion and geopolitical regions.

He denied the rumors currently in circulation as fake news that he have thrown in his towel with the PDP as nothing could be further from the truth. To him the PDP and APC are different sides of the same coin.

“1. The APC same-faith is a deliberate, well-calculated plan to sow the seeds of religious and social discord among Nigerians. It is obvious that Northerners, in particular, are the intended targets and victims of this satanic plan. It is an indisputable fact that the whole of Northern Nigeria is currently mired in several intractable socio-economic problems due to the activities of several nebulous criminal groups. Agriculture, the mainstay of the northern economy, is all but abandoned because kidnappers and bandits have prevented people from venturing out of the safety of their homes. Interstate and intercity travel for either business or leisure have all but ceased not only due to un-motorable roads but more so for fear of kidnapping, armed robbery and other forms of banditry. Our rural schools have all but closed for fear of kidnappers. Government-owned universities have closed thus depriving the children of the already impoverished Northern masses access to affordable higher education. Thus, our out-of-school and idle children have become easy targets for recruitment by bandits and kidnappers. And there is no solution in sight.

“Then, out of nowhere this man Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a renown Yoruba-hegemonist, a man who championed the establishment of a Ministry of Regional Integration in each state government of the South-west geopolitical region which he bestrides as an emperor, and a man who was once quoted as saying “I do not believe in one Nigeria” (THISDAY, The Sunday Newspaper, April 13, 1997, page 9) comes up with a Muslim-muslim ticket knowing fully well that religion is the underbelly of Northern Nigeria. APC’s same-faith ticket is a ploy to further sow discord among Northerners using the most potent weapon of social discord – religion. As Karl Max once said – “religion is the opium of the people”. Nigerians from all shades of the society must see this Tinubu/Kashim same-faith ticket as a proposal from the pit of hell that can only be conjured by the most Machiavellian minds known to man and therefore must be rejected wholesome by all lovers of our country and its nascent democracy.

“On the other hand, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, Tinubu’s Vice Presidential running mate is a man who once said “restructuring my foot, let’s restructure our minds”. For eight years he presided over Borno State at a time when Boko Haram was overrunning the state almost at will and restructuring the minds of its victims against Christianity and western education. The kidnapped Chibok and Dapchi girls and many more are now slowly trickling out of captivity in the Boko Haram indoctrination camps fully Islamized and carrying children born into Islam in captivity – a true example of “mind restructuring” if there ever was one. There is also this little matter of an allegation of a very close relationship or otherwise between the Vice Presidential candidate of APC and Boko Haram! And, which Christian can forget one Kabiru Sokoto the alleged Boko Haram kingpin accused of complicity in the Christmas bombing of St Theresa Catholic Church, Madallah that resulted in 44 deaths and 77 injured Christian worshippers? Or that the said Kabiru Sokoto was eventually arrested at his hiding place in the Borno State Government Lodge Abuja? Are Christians not justified in being scared of a government run by these duo?

“2. Surely, APC’s same-faith ticket is intended to shame Christians and bestow on them and their religion a second-class socio-political status in their own country. In particular it is a validation of the discrimination and oppression being meted out on Northern Nigerian Christians where they are now denied employment, promotion, contracts, and admission to read prestigious and marketable courses in government-owned schools simply on account of their religion. It is no wonder then that Alhaji Bola Tinubu thinks that the Bible is a book of jokes from which he can freely construct his “jokes” like his “Poisoned Holly Communion” and “Speaking in Tongues” jokes. If he is man enough, I challenge him to ridicule the Holy Quran even once as he freely does the Holy Bible. This guy has no respect for Christians and Christianity at all.

“3. This APC ticket goes against the grain of Nigerian politics which in practice (if not in law) has always sought to achieve a religious balance in its politics and governance. It is worth noting that all the other seventeen political parties fielding presidential candidates have gone the way of established conventions and practices by fielding different-faith tickets. Truly except for its incitement to social disharmony, there is no sense at all in APC’s same faith ticket.

“Furthermore, in our quest for justice and equity in the socio-political and religious space of the country, it is obvious that only the Obi/Datti ticket has the potential of speaking to the genuine clamor for power shift to the South-East and at the same time speak to the cry of marginalization by our people of the South-East. Obviously, a Christian/Muslim presidency like the Obi/Datti one will be most appropriate at this stage of our political journey more so since we are now transiting from a Muslim/Christian presidency. It will also achieve the regional shift of the presidency from the current NW/SW to a SE/NW presidency as popularly being canvassed . This is justice; this is equity. This is political engineering at its best and one that engineers peace and harmonious co-existence of the various socio-political and religious classes of our nation.

“4 Nigerians should also resist the temptation of being ruled by the same set of courtiers who are recycling themselves, their children and their friends in a monarchal fashion, in and out of government to the exclusion of other segments of the society. This trend has resulted in these disastrous consequences in which we now find ourselves – impoverished, unsecured, divided, severely underdeveloped and massively unemployed with a widening gulf between the rich and poor of the society. A keen observer will not fall to notice that APC is a transmutation of Action Group/UPN that is dominated by the children or grandchildren of those who once run and ruined the Action Group while the PDP is a transmutation of NPC/NPN similarly dominated by the children or grandchildren of the people who once run and ruined the NPC. A government of either APC or PDP will only be a recycling of the same class of people who have been running and ruining the country from independence to date. Is it any wonder that Nigeria has remained static?

“The Obi/Datti will give us breath of fresh air and the greatest opportunity to redeem our country from the quagmire into which we have been plunged by a recurring group of self-centred reactionaries.

“5. There is a also this palpable fear and anxiety over a possible transition of the current presidency from one Fulbe to another – same tribe, same religion, same region, same courtiers. This has given rise to a heightened fear of a possible perpetuation of a Fulbe hegemony in the country. Besides, there is the perception by many Nigerians that the Fulbe are the main actors in the banditry and kidnappings currently ravaging the country. Therefore, there is a widespread perception that another Fulbe-led government will not have the inclination or political will to address the country’s security challenges seeing as a majority of the perpetrators are its kindred.

“There is also this perception that appointments by the current government are driven more by ethnic and religious cronyism than by Nationalistic considerations. This has given rise to a fear of a possible perpetuation of this trend by another Fulbe-led government. Both APC and PDP presents us with these horrible options. The Obi/Datti ticket possesses a great potential to wean us from these problems.

“6. Finally, as the political campaigns advance towards the election dates, the tendency to divide the country along regional, tribal and religious affiliations is gradually beginning to manifest. We can see very clearly that the APC having woefully failed in its original plan to instigate a form of jihad which it had sought through its same-faith ticket in order to capture the moslem votes, has now resorted to a tribal card. The battle cry is now “it is our turn” tribal card in the South-West. The PDP on the other hand, seeing new opportunities in APC’s failed jihad strategy is tending towards adapting both the religious and ethnic strategies of APC in the North.

“Nigerians must be awake to these very dangerous campaign trends because any of the political parties that comes into government by pandering to ethnic or religious sentiments may not be able govern successfully and might further accentuate the social cleavages .

“Men of good conscience should therefore look to opportunities that unite rather than divide us. Only the Labor Party presents this opportunity. We therefore call on all patriots to labor for our country in this presidential election. Nigeria’s future is at stake in this presidential election. Obi-Datti is the only way to go. All other ways lead to perdition.” Lawan said

“The day I proposed to her I let her know that I am not just wanting to get married, I let her know that I needed somebody that will be a friend, somebody that I spend the rest of my life with, somebody that I can cherish, somebody that I wake every morning and see and not be sad, because of her beautiful soul, she has an amazing soul, she’s welcoming, she’s charming and she knows how to cook, all of these criteria come into play

“For us it’s a celebration of love, we are people of faith and it’s divinely ordained that after all these years we are now wedded” , adding that some qualitiies of his wife, are that she’s complimentary, an achiever, very detailed and caculative person.

In the same vein, Mrs Amanda Bosan Yakusak, corroborating all the husband (groom) said, she was endeared to him, because” he’s a very amazing Man, he’s patient, understanding, distinct, kind, we were just friends, we met in Jos, and I was on and off, and I got a job in Kaduna and now by God’s grace after all, we are now married”

On her part, the Chief bridesmaid, Miss Keshia Ngam, said” It’s still dreamlike that my sis Amanda just got married and I feel very excited for her as she starts this new journey and it’s even more beautiful because she’s found her better half someone who matches her energy in the most loving way,

” I want her to always put prayers before anything and keep being the understanding and poised person she is. She has a pure heart and that will make a marriage be a blessing not just to her but to those around her” She then wished the couple a blessed home.

2023: Only Atiku Can Unite Nigeria – Foundation

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, several Nigerians have opined that only the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Okowa and his running mate, Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa have the pedigree to unite the country.

According to a statement signed by its National Director, Media and Publicity, Okpani Onjewu Jacob Dickson, this was emphasized at the 7th Atiku Care Foundation Annual General Meeting, held at the Richards Continental Hotel, Sapele, Delta State on Saturday November 19, 2022.

In his remarks, Director General of Atiku Care Foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas said that the foundation converged because of Nigeria.

“We are here because of Nigeria. We are here because of our future at the 7th Atiku Care Foundation Annual meeting.

” Atiku Care Foundation is the most established, most structured and most grounded in Nigeria.

“We decided to hold this meeting here because we believe in working at the grassroots. Some people would believe that when they want to host their meetings, they move it to Abuja or Lagos. We brought it here to Sapele because we believe in touching the grassroots.

“The only man that can bring Nigerians together is the unifier, Atiku Abubakar. Nigeria is such a blessed country but unfortunately we are presently lacking a proactive leadership.

“Let’s vote for Atiku, so that Nigeria’s blessings can be showcased.

” You will not understand Nigeria is such a blessed country, until you travel to some other countries,” he said.

In his remarks, Regional Director Atiku Care Foundation, South South, Honourable Meshak Onyeche said that the foundation cuts across 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“The foundation is recognised to house other support groups as a volunteer group ahead of the 2023 general elections.

” We say may God bless the organisers for giving us this opportunity of proclaiming Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the South South. Atiku Abubakar is a friend of the South South and has proven that by coming to our region to pick his running mate and the incoming Vice President in 2023, he loves Niger Delta.

“We in the South South will give the Atiku/Okowa ticket 100 per cent support in 2023.

“Atiku Abubakar has come in 2023 to unite Nigerians,” he said.

Also speaking, Regional Director South West of the foundation, Comrade Oludayo Oludare said that the foundation started in 2016 and Ambassador Aliyu Abbas has been keeping it going.

In his welcome address, on behalf of hosts, Comrade Moses Odiete in a keynote address, said that they organised the hosting of the foundation in recognition of interventions done all through the country.

“We believe in the Atiku/Okowa mandate ahead of 2023 and are optimistic that they will be at the helm of affairs in the country and getting it working again,” he said.

He praised the Atiku Care Foundation DG, Ambassador Abbas for his contributions to touching lives all over the country.

“I want to assure you that we are happy to host you. Atiku cares so much about our nation by ensuring the best hands are brought into his campaign team to rescue Nigeria,” he added.

Delta State Director Atiku Care Foundation, Comrade Kuvie Oyibo, said that it is a privilege to have the DG and all the foundation’s leaders at the meeting in Delta.

She also thanked the Okpe people for hosting the foundation.

Some notable state directors present at the meeting included that of Rivers, Oyo, Kwara, Ebonyi, Ondo, Abia, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Taraba, Adamawa and hosts Delta.
